All About Mary Jones (@supawmary)

Drawing has been one of my strongest passions for as long as I can remember. My dad is an artist who shared his love for pop culture with me and taught me how to draw the characters that he introduced me to which led to my passion for illustration. I love to draw character art, especially ones that have layers of personality because I think it’s very important to create characters that are relatable.

 When I was 13, I was diagnosed with a condition that made it hard for me to socialize and find others to relate to - I couldn’t even find a fictional character that had anything similar to me. This made me realize that a lot of characters in the entertainment industry lack a broad variety of real-life conditions and the industry itself lacks total representation. Ever since it has been my goal to create characters that people can look at and think they look like them, or they deal with the same things as the character.
